Officials said AA 24, a Boeing 767 out of San Francisco, was moved to the isolated area at JFK following a bomb threat that was phoned into the Port Authority. Earlier reports stated the flight originated in Chicago.
Federal air marshals are on board that flight.
No further details area available on the Fin Air flight.
Similar incidents have been reported at other airports, sources said.
