Chicago Bishop Larry Trotter led a prayer march Sunday through some South Side neighborhoods, calling for an end to violence.

The march comes as a response to a slew of recent killings in the area, including the murder of a 17-year old honor student earlier this week.

Hundreds of parents and children joined trotter.

Marchers carried red umbrellas and wore red shirts to symbolize the bloodshed.
