A federal grand jury is investigating the Chicago Police Department for disability fraud.

The jury subpoenaed the Chicago Police Pension Board on Monday, asking for nearly all of its records as far back as 2006.

City Hall has already started cracking down on disability payments in the wake of reports of widespread fraud.

Nearly 350 officers collected more than $18 million in disability payments last year.
