Legionnaires' disease bacteria found in 3 Batavia schools

October 4, 2012 (BATAVIA, Ill.)

They are the Alice Gustafson and Hoover-Wood Elementary Schools and Batavia High School.

No illnesses have been reported.

Legionnaires' disease is a severe form of pneumonia. It killed three people at a Loop hotel last summer.

The affected areas of the schools have been closed. The school district reports that health officials say there's a very low possibility of getting the disease.
