The bacteria that causes Legionnaires' disease has been found in three schools in far west suburban Batavia

They are the Alice Gustafson and Hoover-Wood Elementary Schools and Batavia High School.

No illnesses have been reported.

Legionnaires' disease is a severe form of pneumonia. It killed three people at a Loop hotel last summer.

The affected areas of the schools have been closed. The school district reports that health officials say there's a very low possibility of getting the disease.
