Crundwell appeared in a Lee County court Wednesday afternoon. She faces state and federal charges.
Crundwell allegedly used the money to pay for her lavish lifestyle.
Earlier this month, a number of horses seized from Crundwell were sold at auction, bringing in more than $7 million. That money will go to the town if she is convicted.
