Police have released a sketch of the suspect.
The girl was walking east on 93rd Street from Halsted around 7:30 Friday morning when, she says, a man grabbed her backpack and pulled her towards him.
The girl was able to free herself and run to school.
Anyone with information on the suspect should call Chicago police.
