A train conductor injured in a crash involving three trains in Northwest Indiana earlier this year is now suing rail operator CSX.

Benjamin Knipp was conducting one of the trains back in January.

He was stopped on the CSX line near County Road in Valparaiso when another train owned by the company struck that train, he said.

A third train also derailed after it hit debris from the crash.

Knipp's lawyers claim the company was negligent in preventing the crash.
