Researchers from the United States, Canada and Great Britain studied more than 2,000 women. They found women who worked for 10 years in jobs classified as "highly exposed" increased their risk of getting breast cancer by 42 percent.
The study suggests an elevated risk for long-term workers in the manufacturing of plastics for use in the automobile industry, farming and metalworking.
