Man charged in slashing incident is in custody in Illinois

December 17, 2012 Jawaun Woods, 24, of Gary is charged with attempted murder. In late November, he allegedly stabbed a man inside the East Chicago South Shore rail station and stole his car and credit card. The victim was treated and released. Woods was arrested in Indianapolis for being involved in a knife fight there.
