Chicago's Indian-American doctors pledged their support Sunday for a clinic that serves patients who cannot afford medical care.

They gathered in Elmhurst to raise money for the Indo-American Medical Clinic in Rogers Park.

It's 100 percent free and serves about 3,000 patients a year from all backgrounds.

Doctors, pharmacists and other medical service providers donate their time to the clinic.

ABC7's Ravi Baichwal emceed the event, which raised $160,000.
