HS golf coach, student killed in crash in Excelsior Township, Michigan

A minivan carrying six members of a Michigan high school boys' golf team collided with another van on a rural road in Excelsior Township in Kalkaska County.

The Grayling High School golf team was headed to Traverse City for an invitational tournament. Three people died-- the 30-year-old golf coach and a 17-year-old student, and a 27-year-old woman in the other vehicle. Four members of the golf team are in critical condition.

Crisis team counselors are be at the school today to help classmates deal with the tragedy.
