Theresa Lau, 44, is charged with two counts of theft of over $100,000, as well as financial exploitation. Police say Lau was the victim's full-time nurse.
The victim's son noticed a $150,000 payment from his father to Lau and called police.
Lau is being held in Lake County Jail.
