Some comfort dogs from the Chicago area will head to Moore, Oklahoma, to help survivors cope.

Eight golden retrievers from Lutheran Church Charities will leave west suburban Addison Wednesday at noon. An official says the dogs help people process what's happened to them through times of crisis.

The organization has sent comfort dogs to help survivors of the Connecticut school shooting, the Boston marathon bombings, and Super Storm Sandy.
