A man has jumped from the north face of Mount Everest wearing a special wing suit. It's something that's never been done before.

On Wednesday, Russian daredevil Valery Rozov took the highest base jump ever completed.

He reached speeds of about 125 miles per hour for nearly a minute.

The jump was part of a month of celebrations commemorating the first successful climb to the top of Everest.

Sir Edmund Hillary did that 60 years ago on May 29, 1953.
