The people who operate the Experimental Aircraft Association are objecting to a $500,000 bill for air traffic controllers at the association's annual convention in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.

The event draws tens of thousands of pilots and aviation enthusiasts to Oshkosh each summer.

The Federal Aviation Administration controllers usually volunteer to staff the airport tower during the show.

The influx of planes makes the air traffic control tower the busiest in the world during the duration of the show.
