It was a beautiful day to attend an art show and Sunday was the last day of Custer's Last Stand, Evanston's largest and oldest outdoor arts festival.

It features paintings, pictures, jewelry, clothes, live music and theater events.

This is the 42nd year for the event, which features the works of nearly 400 artisans.

The art fair started on Custer Avenue, which was named to commemorate the heroism of General George Custer during the Civil War.
