Lt. Gov. Sheila Simon expected to announce run for comptroller

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that Simon will likely announce next week that she's running for comptroller.

Simon had considered a run for attorney general. But she's apparently changing her plans now that Attorney General Lisa Madigan has decided to seek re-election and not run for governor.
