Study: Broccoli could help fight cancer, heart disease

July 31, 2013 (CHICAGO)

British scientists tested a group of people who ate three florets of broccoli every day for three months along with their normal food. They discovered that a chemical found solely in broccoli helps maintain the health of the tiny so-called "batteries" that power cells in the human body.

This, it is thought, helps ward off health problems including cancer and heart disease.
