A judge has ruled former congressman Jesse Jackson Jr. can have more time to pay a $750,000 forfeiture.

The judge delayed a decision until October 25 on whether the government can seize Jackson's two homes and a retirement account if he doesn't pay up.

Jackson's sentencing for using campaign money for personal gains is set for August 14.

Jackson pleaded guilty to using campaign funds for personal expenses.

His wife, former Alderman Sandi Jackson, also pleaded guilty to failing to report income on their tax returns.
