We begin with an "interesting" one: a celebration of clowns at Woodlawn Cemetery in Forest Park. It's apparently a well known final resting place for circus artists. There lives will be celebrated through performances, contests and kids activities. It's free from one until 3 p.m. performforthelove.com/showmensrest/

In Chicago: you can catch a performance of Shakespeare in the Park in Hamilton Park on the city's South Side at 4 p.m. It's also free. www.chicagoshakes.com

In north suburban Glencoe, the Festival of Art continues from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. There are 120 juried artists displaying their work. amdurproductions.com

This is the final day for Northbrook days. Concerts, a carnival and an opportunity to taste food from local restaurants. It's on the Northbook Village Green from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. northbrookdays.com/
