Alderman JoAnn Thompson and the Reverend Al Sharpton's Action Network teamed up Saturday to hand out turkeys.
The volunteers gathered at the Sherman Park gymnasium at 55th and Racine on the South Side.
They gave away 700 turkeys to registered families.
