Sentencing was set Monday for a suburban man who escaped police custody and went on a 27-hour crime spree.

Robert Maday is seen in a video holding up a bank. He was convicted in January when a jury determined he used a gun, although one was never seen.

Maday also was convicted of escaping from custody when he overpowered two state's attorney investigators. He used their guns in two carjackings before robbing the bank in Bloomingdale.
