Chicago memorials honor Nelson Mandela planned at Rainbow Push, Community Christian Church of God in Christ

Chicagoans are praying for Nelson Mandela's family and for others to continue the former South African's legacy by fighting for social justice and human rights.

Chicagoans will remember Nelson Mandela during two planned memorial services this weekend.

One memorial service was held Friday night in Chicago for Nelson Mandela. It was organized by the South African Consul General and took place at Rainbow Push headquarters.

A funeral for the former South African president will be held Sunday.

It will take place in his small hometown in the country he led for 5 years.
