U.S. Olympians landed at O'Hare Airport on their way home from the Sochi Olympics.

The American athletes were greeted with cheers on their way to their final destinations.

Eddie Alvarz brought home the silver medal for short track speed skating. Alex Deibold of Manchester, Vt. got the bronze medal in snowboard cross.

"Walking the opening ceremony was something I've waited for for a lifetime, competing on the hill, having my family travel halfway around the world to see me compete was pretty incredible and then closing ceremonies last night was absolutely amazing," said Deibold.

Lyman Courier, who was injured while free skiing the half pipe, says Sochi was amazing experience and he plans to be back in competition next year.
