Chicago pets receive free veterinary services on National Spay Day

February 25, 2014 (CHICAGO)

The Humane Society of the United States' Pets for Life Chicago partnered with PAWS to offer the free services Tuesday in honor of World Spay Day.

Eighty-seven animals were cared for, and many also received free vaccines.

Organizers say the free services are designed to reach pet owners in underserved Chicago neighborhoods.
