Searchers found the body of 19-year-old Pravin Varughese last week in Carbondale. The student from Morton Grove disappeared after getting into a dispute with an acquaintance who was giving him a ride.
Police say he got out the car, wandered into the woods and apparently died from exposure.
There's word a state police officer saw him get out of the car and conducted a search, but did not report the incident.
