The stabbing took place at about 2:10 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Damen Avenue in Wicker Park.
The woman was reportedly leaving a nearby nightclub with a man. The incident occured near a busy intersection in front of Flash Taco.
Police say a car pulled up carrying a man and woman who began yelling gang slogans. A physical altercation then ensued between both parties. During the altercation, the woman was stabbed in the chest and back.
After the altercation, the suspects got back in the vehicle and drove off.
The victim was able to walk to a nearby hospital and she is now at Stroger Hospital and her wounds are not considered life threatening.
No one is in custody as of Friday morning.
