The "Raise for the Roses" Kentucky Derby Benefit raises money for Care2Prevent. ABC 7's Stacey Baca will emcee the fundraiser.
The mission of Care2Prevent at the University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital is to eliminate new infections of HIV/AIDS among young people living in Chicago. Much of C2P's programming is directed towards African-American and LGBTQ youth. Janel Palm, president of Care2Prevent board, and Jonathan Williams, co-chair "Raise for the Roses" Kentucky Derby Event and C2P board member, came into our ABC 7 Eyewitness News studio to tell us about the event and the great cause it supports.
