Sarah Wood, Ryan Chiaverini join Cancer Survivors Celebration Walk & 5K

The 24th Annual Cancer Survivor's Celebration Walk & 5K by Northwestern Medicine and Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center will kick off at 8 a.m. June 4, 2017 from Grant Park.

This year, WCL co-host Ryan Chiaverini created a team in memory of his mother Edna. Before we lost her this year - she was a cancer survivor.

Also walking is Sarah Wood, the wife of former Cub great Kerry Wood. She is a 2-year cancer survivor and has been doing the walk for over 10 years for her mother, who is a 13 cancer survivor.

They both share their stories - and want you to join them on June 4 or contribute to the cause. The celebration helps raise money to battle every form of this devastating disease.
