HAMMOND, Ind. (WLS) -- A pregnant woman tried to stop two carjackers from stealing her car Thursday evening.
The 23-year-old left her car running when she went inside the Mobile Gas Station at 5631 Hohman Avenue in Hammond, Ind., officials said.
After the men jumped into the silver Chevrolet Cobalt, she reached in and try to grab the keys but one of the men put the car in drive and pulled away.
She tumbled to the ground and fell on her stomach and had to be checked for injuries at a hospital.
The men got away and police described them as black males wearing gray hoodies.
A Go Fund Me Page has been set up to raise $2,500 for pregnant woman.
The car ended up in a tow lot in Harvey. The town's mayor, Eric Kellogg, paid the $125 fine to help the woman get her car back.
