April 26, 2009 (CHICAGO) --
Chicago police say they towed approximately 50 cars along a route for a running race in the Ravenswood area Sunday. Police say that number down significantly from last year when residents complained they weren't notified about parking bans along the route.
This year, signs were visible, and organizers held a press conference Friday to warn residents about the bans.
This is the 13th year for the Ravenswood 5K run.
Proceeds from the race benefit the food pantry at All Saints Episcopal church and health centers at two area high schools.
