Prosecutors say he struck and killed Maria Worthon as she and her 6-year-old son walked in the 7000-block of North Greenview in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. Worthon was killed. Her son is in critical condition.
Eubanks was arrested about a mile away.
His next court appearance is scheduled for January 11.
