Emergency meeting held in response to coyote threat

A young boy was apparently attacked by a coyote. He was bitten in the face by what he thought was a friendly dog.

An emergency meeting was held Wednesday evening about a coyote situation on the city's West Side.

A coyote may have bitten a 3-year-old boy in a park.

29th Ward Alderman Deborah Graham met with representatives from the Park District Animal Control and Streets and Sanitation to talk about the threat of coyotes.

Experts say that coyotes are usually harmless, as long as they are not fed by humans.
