LaSalle brand disappears on Monday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. The green and yellow colors of LaSalle Bank have been coming down at branches in Michigan and Illinois, making way for the blue and red of Bank of America.

LaSalle was based in Chicago, while Bank of America is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bank of America is the nation's second largest by assets.

It bought LaSalle last year, taking it over from the Netherlands-based ABN Amro.

Bank of America and LaSalle customers have had access to a combined 19,000 ATMs to make cash withdrawals with no fees since October.
