Honda dedicates Indiana plant

Honda dedicated a new plant Monday in Indiana.

The ceremony hailed what Honda called "Civic Pride."

For about a month, 2009 Honda Civics have been rolling off the assembly line at the $550 million plant in Greenburg, southeast of Indianapolis.

Nine-hundred people are working there assembling 150 cars a day. Honda plans to add a second shift later this year.

Eventually, the automaker plans to employ 2,000 people to assemble 200,000 cars a year.
