Police are investigating a deadly shooting involving one of their officers in Chicago's far south suburbs. It happened around 1 p.m. Monday afternoon in the 1500-block of Wentworth in Calumet City.

Police say a man went into a school board facility there and threatened the people inside. The offender was forced out of the building, and workers locked the door and called police.

When officers arrived the man allegedly attacked them. Police tried to subdue him with Taser guns.

The offender was eventually shot.

Two officers are being treated for minor injuries.
