The medical examiner's office says an autopsy determined Sanchez died from multiple injuries and blunt trauma from child abuse.
No one was in custody Saturday night, but the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services says it is investigating an allegation of death by abuse against the live-in boyfriend of the boy's mother.
