This morning, 66 riders participated in "World Bicycle Relief."
Since 2005, the program has distributed more than 66,000 bikes in 9 countries.
Organizers say the donated bikes allow students to get to school instead of walking up to 10 miles.
They also provide healthcare workers a way to reach patients in remote villages, and allow farmers to carry more goods to markets.
Cubs Chairman Tom Ricketts joined other organization leaders on today's ride.
"World Bicylce Relief" was started by bike industry leaders to aid victims of the 2004 Asian tsunami disaster.
