City offering free flu shots

A major push is under way to prevent an outbreak of the flu by offering free shots.

More than 5,000 people have been vaccinated, so far, at flu shot clinics.

People didn't seem to mind waiting their turn Saturday at the Arturo Velasquez Institute in the 2800-block of South Western to receive vaccinations from nurses.

The city of Chicago is giving free flu shots at several locations through early December.
