The doors at a Magnificent Mile landmark have closed for good.Borders flagship store, located across from the Water Tower Place, sold its last book Friday night.
The store had been on Michigan Avenue since 1995.
The company said it decided to close the store because it was no longer profitable.
Many of its employees are being moved to other Borders locations.
