Funeral held for homeless Korean War vet

There was a military funeral at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Friday for a homeless Korean War veteran who had no next-of-kin.

Pfc. Harold Lewis served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He died last month.

His graveside service was arranged by the Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program.

Since Lewis had no surviving family, the traditional folding presentation of an American military flag went to a member of VFW Post 2788 in honor of Lewis.
