It's still unclear why Cook County Animal Control officers were at an animal shelter in Chicago's southwest suburbs Friday.

They visited the Painted Pastures Animal Rescue in Tinley Park.

Chopper 7HD flew over the shelter that houses horses, dogs and other animals.

According to a posting on the shelter's Facebook page, an employee took more dogs than they could handle.

The director of the shelter reportedly told the Chicago Tribune that animal control officers are helping to alleviate overcrowding there.
