Mandatory evaluations to come for Ill. circuit judges

March 2, 2011

The judges are being required to undergo evaluations meant to help them spot and fix any problems in their performance. The state Supreme Court announced the mandatory evaluations Tuesday.

The evaluations apply to circuit and associate judges who have been on the bench more than two years but fewer than 25 years.

Approximately 100 judges will be chosen randomly to undergo the evaluations each year.
