Southeast Side shooting injures five

Police are at the scene of a shooting that injured five people on Chicago's Southeast Side Tuesday night, including two children.

The shooting happened at about 8:30 p.m. at 79th and Escanaba.

Police say a vehicle passed by a crowd of people and someone inside the vehicle opened fire.

Two children, ages 8 and 10, were both shot in the foot.

Three adults were also injured, including a man who was shot in the head and was in critical condition Tuesday night.
