The Union Pacific-West Line train was headed inbound when the accident occurred at about 9:45 p.m. Monday.
Metra officials say no one on the train was injured. No information was available late Monday about the condition of the semi truck driver.
As of 11 p.m. Monday, no other details about the incident were available.
Train service has returned to normal.
