From Lincoln Park Zoo to Daley Plaza to the John Hancock Center, all levels of musicians and all genres will be represented. So you may see swing on Michigan Avenue, hear folk at Belmont Harbor or pop/rock at Northwestern Hospital.
Make Music Chicago is inspired by something that's been going on in France for 30 years called, Fete de la Musique.
Deborah Sobol, the artistic and executive director of Chicago's popular Rush Hour concerts -- which are free summer concerts at St. James Cathedral-- is one of the forces behind the new effort.
