The Chicago Park District estimates 2.35 million people attended the Taste of Chicago this year, 300,000 less than last year.

The attendance was the lowest number since 1986, and it left some vendors disappointed.

The park district says the fest was more family-friendly and there were 50 percent fewer arrests than last year.

It's estimated that 120,000 turkey legs and 30,000 funnel cakes were served at the taste this summer.
