Plane from Chicago intercepted after losing contact

October 21, 2011 (CENTENNIAL, Colo.)

The flight originated in Pittsburgh and stopped in Chicago before heading to Centennial Airport in Denver Thursday.

F-16 fighter jets escorted the civilian plane after the pilot did not respond to any messages. It turns out he had lost radio contact.

The plane landed safely.

Federal and local authorities are talking to the pilot.
