Authorities are questioning the pilot of a small plane whose actions caused military fighter jets to fly on the scene over Colorado.

The flight originated in Pittsburgh and stopped in Chicago before heading to Centennial Airport in Denver Thursday.

F-16 fighter jets escorted the civilian plane after the pilot did not respond to any messages. It turns out he had lost radio contact.

The plane landed safely.

Federal and local authorities are talking to the pilot.
