Bond has been set at $20,000 for a west suburban Naperville woman accused of attempting to steal a 9-week-old puppy from a Naperville pet store.

Susan Sullivan, 50, faces one count of retail theft in excess of $300, a felony, a DuPage County State's Attorney's Office news release said.

Police say on Friday just before 6 p.m., Sullivan entered the Happiness Is Pets store at 1592 E. Ogden Avenue, Naperville. Sullivan allegedly attempted to steal a "puggle" (poodle + pug) puppy from the store by placing it under her coat and walking out. Sullivan was stopped by store employees who alerted authorities, police said.
