Mental 'fog' real part of menopause for some women

A new study involving University of Illinois at Chicago researchers found those memory blips and distractible moments may be as real as hot flashes and poor sleep.

The study that appears in the journal Menopause suggests that menopause fog is due to the direct effect of changing levels of hormones such as estrogen.

The good news is many women will regain their memory.
